Laila Harrak debuted on the channel this weekend. Her shift was between Michael and Kim's and she also appeared this morning from 7 to 8 CET. I guess she's a replacement for Natalie Allen. She'll probably do Fridays as well. We'll see if there will be any changes to the morning line up or if this is it.

As for the name, I’m sure the weekend show will be renamed when the new weekday show launches; expect to find it mentioned in the last paragraph of the new weekday show’s press release. Don’t see the weekend show format changing much unless they finally decide to relocate Boris to Atlanta.

Alisyn Camerota confirmed that she and Laura Coates will be co/anchoring CNN Tonight together from Monday according to her Instagram.

Speculation that they’d share the role is no more. I couldn’t be happier.

Quite lot of public anger in Thailand at the moment over a CNN crew being pictured climbing over a fence to exit the cordoned-off scene of the shooting at the nursery in Nong Bua Lamphu after recording footage inside the building which was aired on the channel.

CNN say that their journalists were given permission to go inside by public health officials but this was disputed in strongly-worded statements by the Foreign Correspondents Club and the Thai Journalists Association.

They are currently being investigated by police and it is also being reported that they entered the country on tourist visas so were not eligible to work.

The new morning show will be named “CNN This Morning” and launch November 1. Had a strong feeling this would be the name since CBS no longer uses “CBS This Morning” (also a Licht brainchild). Will launch before the new set is ready.
