So from the looks of it....unlike the old Newsroom at CNN Center, there is no high-ceiling massive camera ready newsroom. They all seem crammed in there. It strange because CNN always "decorated" their newsrooms with colour and logos and graphics. Im sure they are going to have DTL camera position with a logo in the background somewhere. But Its very plain and vanilla-looking. With the exposed ceilings. Its all kinda blah looking. Oh well. It seems to purely going to be used as a back office type operation. Atlanta will quietly be the operational backbone of the channel. Whilst NYC and DC LDN newsroom decorated to be "camera-ready".

Looks very similar to London. Cold, bland, industrial....

Times change, it was never going to look like it did way back, and if it did, we'd be seeing lashings of brown, beige and vulgar bulbous monitors everywhere. 😃

I think we need to be a little patient before jumping to conclusions based on one instagram post.

We won't have too much longer to wait.

You are totally right about times changing. I was just saying the space doesnt appear to be decorated to be broadcast ready or meant to be on camera.  It seems like its just going to be a simple workspace and nothing else. You know CNN loves to put up a logo.  Even when times changed, they always had a decorated main newsroom. Even the last version of the CNN Center newsroom, which was renovated after the main Atlanta "newsroom" studio was closed, was "camera-ready".  It seems the big newsroom studio setup is a thing of the past for CNN. The network without a big airy newsroom like AJE and BBC feels different.
Here is the main news room across the years. They always decorated it with the times.

Haven't spent much time watching CNNI recently, but managed to catch Christine Macfarlane presenting First Move. The top half of the show felt like a generic bulletin rather than a business show. Is this always the case?

CNN loved to set up their newsrooms as thought they were going on air and they were always "decorated" even if they were never to appear on air.

Feels like I have watched a bit of the Zucker era come back tonight with every story being a Breaking News story. 🤨

We've barely seen more than a handful of social media pictures of the new facility. They're still months away (according to Rosemary) from actually broadcasting from there. How could we possibly judge how it'll look on air? The 'decoration' elements (studios, sets, lighting, and other ornamentation) always come last when moving to a new building anyway.

Yes, it doesn't look like some giant, cavernous newsroom, but we already pretty much knew that would be the case. The Techwood campus is repurposed office space, whereas CNN Center was a repurposed indoor theme park. I'd rather work in a place that was designed to be an office with windows rather than some giant box with harsh artificial light and no windows.

It's felt like that this morning too with 19X skinned with the Breaking News graphics, which it has to be said  I can't recall seeing before. They're also using the BN stings in and out of ad breaks.
