Here some intros i found of CNN during its glory years and the use of CNN Center. Ahh the good old days. WHen they were at the pinnacle of their power and top of their game being the only news channel in the entire world.

Great compilation, too bad many intros were cut off when the studio pan starts. Also a reminder that he previous version of CNN Newsroom/CNN Today HK/CNN Today with Amara & Michael were so much better than the current Newsroom theme.

I don’t think you can tell from those tiny photos whether or not it’s the same control room.

Clearly there are multiple control rooms at Techwood.  I bet they all look pretty similar.

Sometimes, I think there is programming coming out of THREE different Atlanta control rooms at once .  Like from 9a-11a when there can be different programming on CNN U.S., CNNI, and CNN Max.

As part of CNN’s move to Techwood, 4 new identical multiple-purpose IP control rooms were built at the Atlanta campus (PCR 40, 41, 42, and 43). These are used for CNN and CNNI shows as well as sports and live events, like the NBA and NHL coverage.

So this mornings' editions of Newsroom were actually the last ones to come out of CNN Center. Michael Holmes confirmed on Instagram that they are in the new building, using the temporary set up, from this weekend.

There was no fanfare about the last shows out of CNN Center, on air. Rosie did mention the move to new premises on her final closing on Thursday.

Kim Brunhuber was the last to broadcast from CNN Center, at least for CNNI. I'm not sure if domestic weekend shows are also moving this weekend.

Back to Techwood it is! Most won't notice any change really. I do hope this dire dark background won't be used in the new studio, though I'm not holding my breath for any big improvements or anything different than the standard city backgrounds that have dominated the channel last decade or so.
