So they'll be on a loop to keep the 30 day window open as much as possible.

Hosting a ITV weekend breakfast is like jury service, we all will end up doing it at some point!

Presumably he will be unable to use an autocue, so I wonder if he’d have someone reading the script or if he’d just do it all from memory with prompts from the gallery.

This sounds like the sort of thing that flopped for ITV in the noughties - 2025 will see Shark! Celebrity Infested Waters.

Just repeat Harry Hill's Shark Infested Custard. Cheaper and more entertaining.

There is braille, which can be used in his paper scripts he can have with him on the set.

Yeah, this is why Good Morning Britain should be extended to the weekends. Partly because it competes with the Beeb, but also because it stops ITV from having a continuous rotation of presenters that won't take off with the audience. CITV's axing from the weekend morning schedules would've been a perfect opportunity to do this as well!

Out of interest, how much difference in cost do you think there is between a (presumably) pre-recorded chat show involving a host and a guest or two, and a complete news-heavy programme that’d involve multiple location reports and guests? And how much difference do you think that would have on the ratings?

They aren’t going to invest heavily in a seven-day GMB just so their rota is neater.
