I’m not sure I remember a day when - even if you put the Lineker row to one side - the BBC was having to defend itself on **three** other fronts. The Attenborough stuff looks to be a wilful misinterpretation by the Guardian of a commissioning decision but there’s been a lot of criticism of the statement put out by the press team of Fiona Bruce’s attempts to “clarify” Stanley Johnson’s historic domestic abuse on Question Time last night:

I don’t buy that there’s some inherent internal pro-government bias going on but for all four of these things to come out with a few hours of each other is deeply, deeply unfortunate for the corporation’s image.
