None of these is happening. I know BBC Three Ver.2 isn't setting the world alight with its ratings and is the most expensive BBC TV channel to run (£95m budget as of the last annual report) but it would be an admission of self-sabotage towards their younger audience and a clear stance that the BBC is only serving older audiences if they had to close it again. They aren't going to kill it anytime soon.
I see the CBBC channel being more likely to get the chop, the Beeb has definitely gotten more reassurance that children's TV is at a point of no return with the shift to on-demand and ITV closing CITV only has strengthened that argument. BBC Four costs little to run and still retains a healthy audience though it's very clear the end-goal is to remove the transmission costs of running their fourth network stream.
