Laura Kuenssberg to present Election coverage (if we get one this year)

There will almost certainly be a General Election in 2024. The latest date it can be is 28th January 2025, but that would mean campaigning over the Christmas recess so that's not going to happen.

There's also the feeling that having around the same time as the US Election in November isn't advisable due to the security risk of potentially having both countries changing leader at the same time.

It's not going to happen over the summer, so it'll almost certainly be a spring election
