Just looking at TV Ark and there were some decent attempts to add new ones to the mix in that era which may have stood out more if the old ones hadn't been used alongside them.

I particularly liked the Arts ident which had loads of 2 concepts in one ident.

Ultimately though it was the surrounding presentation that dampened that era - something which along with the new idents the Curves era significantly improved
