Sky never struggle to fill the 9-10 hour. The do a pretty good job given the restrictions on what they can talk about - but they can introduce the team, whip round the reporters at key counts (where they normally focus on the constituencies rather than the candidates), explain how the election and exit poll work, show off their graphics, and a few other things. With a few ad breaks, they only really have about 45 minutes to fill.
I personally like it - it gets the night underway a bit earlier and, if you're looking forward to it, that's a good thing. You can see how it worked in 2019 in the first 47 minutes of this...
