I think some of the text needs anti-aliasing - the LIVE captions and the animated secondary text under the headline seem to be two areas where the text is rather jagged around the edges at times. This could be due to some of the systems they are having to use tonight - i.e. it's probably having to compute a lot more ad hoc, live info than graphics you would expect on the normal news for example. But on the whole, the layouts used work well together and seem to be well thought-out.
If this is a sign of the new style being rolled out to BBC News, I do hope that they haven't completely abandoned the Serif version of Reith as I do think it does add a nice contrast to the sans serif.
