If somebody waves a big enough cheque around there is no reason why Premier League matches can't go somewhere else.
Sky do not have exclusivity anymore, they haven't had it for a while (this is why stuff now appears on Prime and BT, but Sky has the lion's share of the coverage)

But of course it built Sky and built Sky Sports, so they'll pull out all the stops as it were to keep it.

But anyway most sports rights are already either allocated, tied up or are just generally unavailable. (or undesirable) The World Tiddlywinks Championship is a real thing but can't really see Auntie tying up hours of coverage of little disks being flipped around on a table somewhere.

There's a bunch of things here if somebody was desperate to cover something sporty, albeit with a clickbait sounding title:
