I'm not sure I could bare that many hours of hearing her say along the lines of... "well if Boris was still in charge the Conservatives wouldn't have lost so many seats. By the way he didn't do anything wrong, as my book explains."

The entire Cabinet Office building was renamed 9 Downing Street many years ago.

A comedy alternative is what people will be expecting from Channel 4 and she helps tick that box.

She also said Channel Five was an ideal example of privatisation, despite it never being publicly owned. She didn't know her brief very well.

All constructed in a way to ensure a certain banner waving, noise polluting, bl00dy nuisance, gets as little on-screen attention as possible, preferably none?!?

I'm sure it's even more difficult now, but #ObligatoryTomScottVideo showing how hard it was to get into the back of OB shots 14 years ago

Never mind grade 1 listed - it's a UNESCO World Heritage Site: www.westminster.gov.uk

The present system isn't perfect, but at the end of the day the viewer doesn't get to see the ramshackle nature of the tented encampment, and it's temporary enough that a few days' disruption to the green means it can be left undisturbed the rest of the time.

The Government still only exists because they hold Crown appointments. The 'seat of power' is technically the Cabinet Office at 9 Downing Street. They keep the wheels turning until 5 July, but without any actual power. Civil Servants follow rules until someone issues different ones.

It's the place where they are hoping to sit, so to have that in full view is exactly why they go live from that location.
