During Breakfast, the red screen was still in use during the regional opt-outs.
Incidentally when I put on 101 on my tv at lunchtime, the channel stream still worked as BBC ONE HD before it changed to the new BBC One Lon HD label.

Well this is rather misleading…
I guess, ‘still in smudgy old SD but at least you won’t have to change channels anymore’ didn’t sound quite as good.

Even an HD photo it is misleading unless there is work going on which will make it HD and therefore not fake news.

I don't think saying "BBC Look North now in upscaled Vaseline vision" has the same ring to it?

Playing devil's advocate, technically the video that's being transmitted
is HD. It just didn't start out that way

The red screen was on this mornings Breakfast?
My PVR needs a manual retune (and I'm reluctant to do that as it wipes out scheduled recordings) so also have the name and EPG of BBC One HD even though it now has regional news.

Shouldn’t be putting out misleading tweets like that though.

I’m still not sure that qualifies for the BBC’s definition of an HD programme.
Maybe ‘Look North, now on BBC One HD’ might have been a more accurate way of getting the message across.

No on Wednesday, the day I posted that comment.
