I think it's true that CNN Domestic has noticeably become much more national and politics-focused in the last 5-10 years. Think back to 5-10+ years ago and big international stories would get a lot more play back then, even if it didn't entail a CNNI simulcast. Think back to the Arab Spring, the 2009 Gaza raids, or the failed Turkish coup. We used to even get a simulcast of Your World Today every day, and CNNI anchors and correspondents would pop up a lot more often.
It's pretty rare to find CNNI on cable in the US. I've never lived in a place that had it. even when I had high tier digital cable packages. I'd say that Americans who travel abroad certainly know that the CNN over there is "different," though it also feels like CNNI isn't as widely distributed worldwide as it used to be. Whenever I check into a hotel in Europe these days, I feel like I'm less likely to find CNNI anymore, but there will always be BBC (World) News and frequently AJE too.

At 1100 CET they launched the new graphics. US feed has flipper, CNNI doesn't. We'll see if there are any other differences from 14.00 CET.

I very much like this! Simple, clean, flat and slick!

It looks like they've got rid of the Shatliffed headline text, which is a massive improvement if so.

That actually looks much better than what was previewed a few weeks ago. Which is maybe why it's better to wait until graphics are seen on screen before passing judgement! I'm loving that gradients are back in after what seems like an aeon of flat design. Take note, BBC!

I’m guessing that CNNI will have a flipper when the first CNNI show with the new graphics airs later.

Sorry, but these are so amateur I cannot believe that a serious news operation has approved these to go to air. Basic, light fonts that look cheap and are difficult to read at distances, no uniquely identifiable features anywhere on the graphics except their logo. It looks like something that would be created for a fake news report in a disaster movie, unbelievably cheap and lazy. Miles worse than anything graphical that the BBC have produced in the merger.

CNNI now has the same on-screen logo as CNN Domestic, although in-studio elements retain the old logo. Program name ticker says just "Newsroom", like the Domestic version, not "CNN Newsroom"
It appears both CNNI and CNN Domestic have an arrow ">" in front of a flipper item when it is a direct continuation of a previous one.
UPD. World Sport afterwards comes from Atlanta (wasn't it used to come from London that time?) and retains CNN name in the ticker
