Not sure if it was mentioned here but the BBC has recently made a response regarding on the newsroom staff taking selfies in the background while Huw Edwards announces the death of the queen...

This programme was broadcast from Studio E, which has the BBC newsroom as its backdrop, and it is normal to see staff in the background of news reports. No-one’s actions in the newsroom were intended to cause any distraction, nor to give any offence, during the BBC News specials.

Good news for anyone who was looking for the music used for the montages during the BBC’s coverage, it’s being officially released on October 21st:

It was recorded in “great secrecy a few years ago”

Is it the same lady that produced the theme to the Upper Hand, that was a wonderful piece of music too.

Unless I'm misreading it, the complaint here doesn't appear to be about the selfie incident, but rather, the mere presence of staff in the newsroom at all!

Which is a bizarre complaint.... how do they think the newsroom will work with no staff in it? Especially with such a major story.

Surely all the streams of this event from different broadcasters internationally will still be online though? Or would the palace be able to take some sort of copyright claim over them?

It makes no sense, if they are doing it to protect the 'pen incident' all anyone has to do is pop on Twitter and search Charles pen and will find it. Unless they are going to go through Twitter and remove all the clips too.
