Leigh Milner returned from maternity leave on June 10th, but has swapped Look East to be a network correspondent at BBC News.

She's also covering BBC London reporting shifts as well.

Nick Eardley's role is now retitled as "Senior Political Correspondent"; was voiced and captioned as such on Breakfast this morning.

Can't see that it's been mentioned anywhere, but Yalda Hakim is to leave the BBC later this year.

Her role on The Daily Global will be taken on by Maryam Moshiri.

That is a huge loss for World News especially.

Kind of not surprised. Yalda Hakim has been missing from her programme a lot recently. I’m sorry though that she is leaving the BBC entirely.

Yalda to Sky News for a new show?

I’m shocked, but not surprised. She’s hardly ever on her own slot!

But there’s no denying she’s an exemplary journalist who has been an asset to the BBC (particularly World affairs) and am sure she will excel at wherever she ends up in the future.

I'm shocked. Yalda was supposed to be BBC's next big star, at least so I thought. Clearly no one cares to stay there much these days.

I wonder what's next for her. News channels are in decline everywhere. CNNI would be a big move in the past but that's another sinking ship.

Also somehow strange the way this is announced in advance.
