The lunchtime headline sequence had animating graphics and the set appeared to be the usual - as would be expected given the two projects are independent.

I don't know if Norwich had decamped to a temporary set before today, but they'd be unlikely to install the new set in the space of 2 days and time it with the HD work...
What was nice to see was you could barely notice them opting out before the one, though why they left the regional ident on when the network one was taken by most regions due to the split presenters on the one.

While I liked the fact Look East is finally in HD, they padded out the lunchtime bulletin with a national report on single sex parents from Lauren Moss shown on the NC.

Look East now has the revised closing music. It seems to be rolled out in tandem with the new sets or HD upgrades, whichever happens first.
Also - gosh - the screen used for the weather looks terrible! Is it back-projected? When Southampton went HD, they abandoned the back-projection (which they didn't use for the weather anyway) and introduced TV screens instead - presumably this is why!

HD really does show up how knackered the Look East set is, along with the scratched up floor.

Found a clip online from when the last changed sets back in 2019. From the timelapse footage it looks like they are back-projected.

I'm guessing that as they'll be getting a new set in the not too distant future they've decided not to bother replacing those screens. Potentially the new set when it arrives may make the studio feel slightly bigger, as currently the sides are angled due to needing to accommodate those rear projectors.

I'm not sure how the set is oriented, but the studio in trapezoid in shape, it might be that the side walls are angled in line with them? Though, of course, a screen at an angle is a frequent method of rear projection.
Given the studio's small size and unusual shape, I won't be surprised if Norwich sees a small level of deviation from the standard set.

I thought they had designed the new sets based on the smallest available space.
The weather does, as expected, looks bad. The framing though was awful today with the sunrise/sunset times almost entirely cut off.
