I didn't say replace the river backdrop - Brekkie mentioned tailoring it to maybe become less prominent in the background - maybe making the windows smaller, have curtains on them etc - there are things which can be done to freshen a set up without dismantling everything in it.

The only thing that really needs changing is those awful opening titles. They always looks pretty poor but since Phil left and they had to remove the scenes with him and Holly on they look worse than ever.

Not a refresh as such, but they’ve ’Autumn-fied’ the studio this week in a way that I don’t believe they’ve really done previously. Lots of big Autumnal trees and leaves everywhere; it looks rather nice and does add a different angle to the studio.

Be interesting to see if they do anything special for Halloween next week as they have done for the last few years - something where the fake backdrop becomes an advantage.

I’ve noticed this from this video (from LU7 Television Clips)
The past few years they’ve added autumnal flowers and pumpkins to parts of the set but the trees are a new addition and adds a nice change to the studio. The backdrop has also changed to the Autumn version.

Or This Morning II.
Isn't it produced by ITV Daytime? In which case I bring to the table...

I agree that the titles are a bit of a mess. I saw yesterday's text inserts which something like "How to dry washing indoors" and "Shopping for new tights!". I realise every show can't be wall-to-wall excitement, but feels new ideas are thin on the ground.
Getting back to the titles, maybe they will look again at
Live with Kelly & Mark in the US, after all the last few
Live with Kelly & Ryan versions had a certain familiarity about them:
Historically, I don't know who has copied who, but the most up-to-date
Live titles still heavily feature the text inserts and 'journey to work'. Slightly different for this pair as they are married, but the 'happy, smiley' stuff in the studio is so cringe. Hopefully TM will go in a different direction next time round:

This Morning were inspired by Live Kelly and Michael back in 2015, as shown in a titles mashup I did:
vimeo.com
So it seems like Live Kelly and Ryan were inspired by This Morning for that set of titles!

Interesting! That said, generally many US syndicated shows seem to refresh things each 'season' which we don't really have, and there's probably no budget/need to do so here with little direct competition at that time of day.
As others have said, I suspect nothing will change soon. I do think the gold and teal look is closely associated with the Holly & Phil era though.

Didn't realise Live with... did the titles first.
Good panorama of the set during the cooking segment today - like most TV sets they make it much look bigger than it is.
