Agree, it’s The Wall & Gauntlet that need a bit of a rethink before an inevitable Series 2.
I guess you could improve The Wall by just getting everyone to do it bare foot?

Agree with Gauntlet, it feels like a pale imitations of the original - something that is not true of any other of the revived games really despite some of them also have been shrunk. It is notable that in the quarter-finals, there has been an increase in antics by the Gladiators on Gauntlet, almost like they are trying to make it more entertaining.
The Edge is also 50/50 whether it is good or not.
Some games are appearing less frequently than others, in particular Hang Tough and Collison. That could be a more complex set up for those two, but Hang Tough (only appeared twice) hasn't been seen since episode 4, the last apearance of female Gladiator Comet who apparently sustained her injuries on that event (it hasn't been refenced on the broadcasts and she walked away fine in what was shown).
Two really minor things I have noticed. In the heats, the contestant was always on the camera right podium on Duel, but they has swapped to being always camera left for the quarter-finals. And it is always Barney doing the interviews from the top of the Wall.

Wasn't it always Fash / Jeremy who took on that role in the LWT days?
Perhaps Bradley / Ulrika point blank refused to go up there

TV listings mention that Hang Tough will be on next Saturday's episode.
I've noticed some events are mutually exclusive and never appear in the same episode - Hang Tough and The Edge being one such pair, presumably because both events use aerial rigging.
Powerball and The Ring haven't been used in the same episode either, presumably because they're pretty similar.

I wonder if the attempt to make Viper the token villain is starting to backfire a little bit after seeing Legend confront one of the contestants for hurting his ego and then winding up Mark Cavendish to plenty of panto boos. He's certainly proving to be far more entertaining to watch. Still, it's great to see so many of the personalities starting to shine through as the series has progressed.

Mark Clattenberg, not Cavendish.

Is it me, or is some of the villanous "rule breaking" really starting to get over the top the last few episodes? I'm sure even Wolf in the 90s wasn't this bad.

I presume the shoe issue is partly down to changes in the materials and design in common exercise footwear compared to the '90s.
