State of the Race is back — at least tonight it is! Only streaming on CNN Max at 7p ET. Hosted by Jessica Dean tonight.
They had been experimenting with Max-only Trump trial coverage so I guess that’s morphed into this?
If this is an every day thing, then Max viewers will no longer get Erin Burnett Outfront. Already, the first hour of The Lead and Situation Room were taken away.
Wonder if AC360 will be gone, too.
Not a heck of a lot of the domestic lineup is on Max anymore.

If it weren't for this forum I'd have no idea what Max exclusive content CNN produces. CNN really needs to a do a better job with press releases or better yet, publishing an online schedule for CNN Max.

Yeah, just started yesterday (Monday). They’d been doing similar things during Trump trial days. State of the Race relaunch at 7pm is new. No idea if it shares anything with the previous show other than the name and graphics.
So Max viewers get no Erin Burnett Outfront, no Anderson Cooper 360, no Kaitlan Collins, no Abby Phillip.
They do get a several hours old Sit Room broadcast though!

Erica Hill anchoring State of the Race on Max tonight. So maybe there is no set host? No idea.
The Max primetime schedule for east coast viewers isn’t so great…. But on the west coast, they get CNNI newsroom from the OVN team starting at 9pm PT… not bad.

Laila Harrak now with Al Jazeera. So she’d rather live in Doha than Atlanta? Interesting. That’s not much closer to Barcelona.

AJE offers very generous benefits to employees – IIRC it's 35 days of PTO, housing provided in Doha, and excellent health care. I think they also work 4 days on, 4 days off, so it seems like it's pretty easy for western staff to go back to Europe or North America pretty regularly.

Who wants to be stuck overnights in Atlanta's plastic sets.
