The first thought would be that the sets are going to be re-used to film UK versions. The shows feel very dated though and would probably last only a series or two before being axed, but that's no different to most new formats so if they are much cheaper to produce overall then it's logical why somebody would want to take advantage of the situation.
I think though that gameshows in the UK have reached a stage where because so many new formats flop that broadcasters are looking towards tried and tested shows which being from another era also have the advantage of being different to what's already out there. Trivial Pursuit and Scrabble are probably well down in the list of shows viewers expect to be revived but money talks (if that is what's happening).

Oddly depending on which state(s) the contestants hail from it is probably more convenient to just shove them on a direct flight to London rather than a studio that could be literally anywhere in the USA
Also interesting is they’re very desperate for a busy human studio audience to the extent they’re offering each audience member £50 just for turning up!

Pitched and made by a UK company and significantly cheaper to film in the UK than the US for many reasons - less unions, lower wages, cheaper studios, possible tax breaks etc. will be the main reasons for filming in the UK. Dublin is frequently being used for more American studio shows for the same reason - Name That Tune is filmed there for example.

Some media outlets have reported today that Jeremy Clarkson will stay on as host of Who Wants to be A Millionaire on ITV.
It's been mentioned in reports by The Mirror and GB News that new episodes of WWTBAM will go out on ITV1 in 2025.

ITV were seemingly playing the long finger with Jeremy after he had to apologise to Harry & Meghan for writing his column about Meghan for the Sun Newspaper over 18 months ago. There is no official confirmation from ITV about this news yet on their official website. The bosses at ITV were monitoring the audience numbers for Jeremy's recent episodes that went out on ITV1 some months ago.
ITV have confirmed that the new episodes of WWTBAM will again be a mix of episodes featuring normal contestants & celebrity specials.

I think that has been known since May, it was certainly reported in this forum when the contestant call went up with Clarkson specifically mentioned :

Media a bit late with the reporting?

I saw a celebrity episode of Millionaire filmed in 2022 which still hasn’t aired.

Good luck getting British audiences to be as enthusiastic as an American one
