I think some here don't quite understand how World works. UK news, including politics, was always important and big news on BBC World, so something like this would get rolling news coverage anyway and there is no need for World to rush anyone into studio C to do separate coverage and save the international viewers from one second of UK news.
World viewers know BBC is a British media company and want to know what's happening in the country of its origin. This is also why the merger will not be seen as such a huge drama for World viewers.
