I would assume with all of the new information coming from bbctvthechop's post about the new merged BBC News Channel. It's going to look completely different from now on.
It sounds to me that it's physical layout of the graphics is either going to look very similar to the RTÉ News Channel in Ireland or maybe like Bloomberg in the US. The trouble is though with making this sort of prediction is I have no idea how this idea is going to be sold to viewers who have viewers of the NC and World at present.
We have seen the pushback graphics on the BBC News Channel used on a part time basis on the NC before probably since 2015. But to me this looks like it is going to be implemented on a full time basis to the detriment of the viewers who are going to watch this new look channel.
With very limited output of UK news going forward being featured on the channel from now on. It is going to be major win for Sky News and the other right wing channels. The new online ITVX news channel could get a net gain of viewers if that becomes a success in the short term.
