I personally think one of the main things they could have done to smooth over this change was to make the One and Ten an hour long, with Sportsday maybe being the exact same length as the regional news and then the same presenter coming back for another 15 mins. Would have allowed a paper review to continue.
We’ve already seen late stories where Huw or someone has had to say ‘More on this story on the BBC website’ as there is now little chance a small domestic story will receive any substantial coverage until Breakfast the next morning
