The first half or so is the day's news and then an in-depth feature, exclusive of some sort or panel (every Thursday) in the last portion then followed by local news (at 11pm). But the CBC is dependent on ads but the BBC in the UK is not so all that could fit into an hour. I suppose the BBC should/must not opt to do a panel.
:00 to :30 - National News.
:30 to :45 - Nations & English regions opt-out, with sports update for News Channel.
:45 to :59 - National news / in-depth reports.
I think I've read somewhere DR in Denmark their 21:00 bulletin is followed by an in-depth feature with a specific topic for each weekday like Mondays? it's an in-depth feature on an international story/issue, Thursdays? is for in-depth coverage of a business topic.
