They have done that rather harsh white background for a while in that area, which seems odd as Plymouth are usually very clever with their lighting within the studio.

When they use that part for sport they even change the upper areas/main screen surrounds to yellow, and have been known to throw in a bit of AR for fun.

So who do we think will replace Kylie on ITV West Country?

Will it be an internal or external appointment?

It would be nice to have someone from the Old Westcountry patch (to make it a bit more even) I see Claire Manning has co hosted a few times recently and actaully she does a good job, but i seen her a few times doing her shopping in Tesco at Lee Mill near Plymouth , so doing it all week maybe too much of a commute 5 days a week?

who knows with ITV !
Is Ian Axton still heading the News Operations for ITV West Country, if he was im sure he would make sure it would be somone that suited both patches, however if its somone else who knows... roll a dice and hope for the best

So they've basically transplanted the old Points West team.

So will we see Alex in the new Points West set for a couple days then off to ITV?

I don't wish in any way to detract from the trauma of having your home or business flooded, but seriously, did nobody think this headline strap would not come across as ironic before they let it go to air? Dodgy

They could have picked any other shop on that street.

For the second half this evening's programme Spotlight decamped to the sofa area as they had some guests.

Unfortunately, it initially had that harsh white background, but was later changed for a fun report on halloween.  They do seem to like playing with their lighting when given the chance. Who needs an IKEA set when you can already do this?

Spotlight do know how to have fun with the studio when they can, like a couple of years back the lad the Log Cabin in for the festive time... wonder if that will come back or they will have somthing nre before we get the IKEA set?
