USA: Don Alhart, the current Guinness record holder for longest-tenured newscaster in the world (a record he held twice, in 2016 and 2023), has announced he is retiring from anchor duties at Sinclair’s Rochester station WHAM 13, after a long, 58-year career in the station. His final newscast will be June 6.

His career has been made mostly in Rochester, starting out at WROC before moving to WOKR (now WHAM), and has worked most of the station’s newscasts, being the foremost constant in the station.
