Surely that's a little bit over the top. There's not really anything more to report than the initial statement at the moment. Even after just over an hours coverage its already getting pretty tedious.

Totally agree IF no more news coming today and the initial statement is all we're going to get

That depends on what the BBC know that we don't,  they won't have cleared the schedules and wheeled out Huw if it was nothing, presumably they're expecting the announcement to be imminent.

Indeed. It's been mentioned on CNN that the family members all travelling up could be not only because of wanting to see her, but also for constitutional preparation reasons.

Interesting that Edwards and Witchell clearly having to be very careful about their wording. Witchell said something like “how fitting that photo with Liz Truss maybe the [pause] most recent picture we have of her.

Surprised they never used the new studio for this when they switched to Huw. As they could have changed the background for it.

If it doesn't exist now, they probably are going to deal with that theme soon.

They kept the Nine O'Clock News dark look when it came to Diana, should try and do something similar.

Police outside Balmoral are erecting fencing, obviously expecting a lot of media trucks that must be on the way.

He is indeed - am abroad at the moment and have just retreated to the hotel in search of BBC World News. The other international news channels not generally rolling with the story.

Over on CNN, simulcast coverage by Domestic naturally.

Max Foster is at CNN London, Sanjay Gupta is wearing a black tie, Poppy Harlow and Jim Scuitto anchoring Newsroom.

I'm Surprised that ITV have not interrupted its programmes to cover the concerning news from Buckingham Palace.
