So it does look like the soaps are off.

If they're off air next week as well...

This happened for about 12X before the screen faded out and the transmission thankfully restored. Some of the speech was missed therefore. Not sure what caused this, the contrast of the screen seemed to glitch before it happened.
The video on both sides of the screen was repeating.

IIRC normally the news channel’s TX feed will switch to another studio (probably Studio A?) for the signed BBC News at One so I guess the problem occurred during this process.
Meanwhile at 1pm the flipper is still on BBC One and BSL is only on NC, just same as the Downing Street COVID briefing coverage. So does the flipper go to network TX feed?

Why did GB News not take the feed, like all other UK networks and NBC Now, probably others of King Charles greeting the public outside Buckingham Palace? Where they not allowed?

Could I please ask that further discussion of schedule and programme changes is continued in this thread, thanks.

In terms of radio, the Flash from IRN (Net Newsroom) came down at 18:30 and 30 seconds.
I ended having to go on air at the radio station I work for making the official announcement and then leading our coverage for most of the evening.
It's something you can prepare for, but it felt so surreal actually announcing the news. I thankfully, delivered the news with no errors and calmly.
