I know that various newsflashes and longer news reports have been shared widely, but this is the first twenty minutes or so of News at Ten from 21st December 1988, the night of the Pan Am bombing. I believe the film just made it to Carlisle in time to be fed to ITN for use in the bulletin. Despite being credited to Border, some of the footage from Tundergarth was filmed by Tyne Tees.

A short clip, but a nice touch from LWT’s last night time closedown in August 1987. (Excluding the one off closedown in April 1989)

The archive group recently unearthed some holding slides for RTV 1, the Rediffusion-owned predecessor to ATV Home, circa 1977-78 (by the TV drama titles shown here):

I think I have a bit of PlayJam from a tape I was sent to by a subscriber of mine (who also has Open from I think November 2000) but it doesn't have that game. It's from about a few months before the clip above.

Here’s something you don’t see on YouTube everyday, an excerpt from the BBC’s 24 Hours programme in 1971 and a debate regarding Rupert Murdoch’s stake in LWT, with Jimmy Hill being part of it, defending LWT.
