That would have been the start of regular daytime bulletins as well (apart from the main programme, the only other bulletin for many years was after News at One)
On a similar vein, a young Phil Cool (a few years before he hit the big time) doing a one-man Granada Reports parody on the last edition of What's On in July 1979, shown just days before the ITV strike took hold.

Interesting watch all round, actually - asides Margi Clarke (or Margox, as she's known here), there's Mike Riddoch - who took over from Tony on What's On, then returned to Scotland to begin a long career at Radio Clyde.
