Nicola Coughlan now confirmed playing "exciting undisclosed role".

Mawaan Rizwan's online CV lists his character in the minisode as 'Mr Castavillain', which I think it's safe to assume is a fake name. There is sepculationonline noting the similarity of his uniform to character(s) in Classic Who (I'll not post what, I'm sure we'll find out Friday).

I enjoyed it...but it was a bit of comedy.

The special was perfect for Children in Need, pitched perfectly by RTD - it also ensures that no exclusive clip from the 60th was aired, to really keep appetite ready for next week

Agree with the above, nothing too serious but reminded everyone that David Tennant is now the lead. Quite a few things on the 10th Doctor bingo card ticked off as well (quite a few catchpharses).

Surprised that was the actual character name. Keeping with the unserious vibe of the scene.

Doctor Who (2023-) is officialy a seperate programme on iPlayer to Doctor Who (2005-2022.) So the resetting of the series/season numbering looks ever more true.

Tbh, I'm just happy there's a CIN special again. Watched CIN for the first time in years, probably since 2013

The first edition of the behing-the-scenes series Doctor Who Unleashed is available below. You can see it has the spirit of Doctor Who Confidential of old, though not sure if much is added by having an in-vision presenter for the first time. The shortest title sequence in history as well, not sure if that is because it is a much shorter edition, or that what will be the norm.

Interesting to hear RTD going into such detail and reasoning for the change of the characterisation and appearance of Davros. I initially thought that was just because it was earlier in his life, but apparently there is a lot more good reasons behind it. Though, I would guess we won't see any further appearances from Davros in order after his last appearance in series 9 - it will be too hard to explain how he has gained legs.

So did David Tennant just come back for the Children in Need special? I thought he’d be the Doctor for a bit before the new guy took over.

Not sure what that means? Was it just for tonight then? I’m lost.

He's ACTUALLY back for the three 60th Anniversary Specials from next week until 9th December, before the new doctor by Ncuti Gatwa takes over.

This was just a little minisode for Children in Need, which also had David Tennant in it.
