Channel 4 News

The legacy of the late Jean-Pierre Pernaut is that TF1 in France concentrates a lot on the regions, despite the bulletins being broadcast from the Greater Paris area. Considering France is a larger country than the UK, TF1's national bulletins get the representation right and doesn't feel like it's either covering Paris based politics or local news from Paris on a national bulletin.

Seems a short contract - isn't it usually a decade or so?

How will that work with the main core of its staffing at GIR?

Same as it has done since co-presenting began in Leeds I believe. It’s just a more permanent home.

People seem to be reading that as "C4 News will permanently broadcast from Leeds from Tuesday".

I'm reading it as C4 will broadcast from Leeds ON Tuesday and assume they have moved from their current studio to a new one, but primarily they'll remain in London.    Also wondering if this coincides with the expected rebrand.

Penny drops!

So basically they're moving to a new permanent studio in Leeds. Same workings as now, but shiny new space for the Leeds output.
