They have to retire at some point but anchors of the likes of Jim Gardner at WPVI and Bill Kurtis at WBBM Chicago, Chuck Scarborough at WNBC New York and Natalie Jacobson at WCVB Boston and others....they dont make them like that anymore. They just dont. There are very few anchors locally or Nationally today that have the gravitas without arrogance that many of these legendary anchors had. Many have been retiring lately.

Weather forecasts are now coming from a green screen instead of a plasma in the corner of the newsroom. No change to the news bulletins which are still using a temporary set-up in the newsroom.

Back to Jim Gardner's retirement... the 6pm show had a 79% audience share, becoming the most-watched TV show in Philly since (and behind) the Eagles' Super Bowl LII win.

It appears there are real elements to the WINK set as seen in this photo. Still doesn't explain why there's a green tint when watching the bulletin?
