What's strange is that WNYW and KTTV very rarely move their newscasts to their second stations. They simply just delay or pre-empt. On Thursday night, when Women's World Cup disrupts normal programming again, WNYW is planning to run their normal 10pm news at 11pm after the match or later, and KTTV has canceled their usual 5 and 6pm newscasts. Meanwhile, KTVU and KCPQ will still be airing news at their usual times on their "Plus" stations. KTVU will still do local news on KTVU Plus even when there's major network news taking over KTVU, such as the State of the Union address.
