Did MSNBC extend its own live coverage over the weekend at all, or just take Sky News whenever it wasn't already live?
For such a big story about a major US ally, it feels a bit odd for them to be taking coverage from a UK channel, complete with stories about the Labour Party conference.

Last night it seemed to go to midnight, then repeated the 10 & 11pm hours before going to Kay Burley at 2AM.

Around the time they started using the new promo designs, they also switched to new opens (with the same style as the promos), new music (Stephen Arnold Music's well-worn Aerial package, although CBS Enforcer remains in some teases and bumpers), a new slogan (
First, Fair, Everywhere) and updated weather graphics:

The new logo is also now on their website. For an in-house job, these really look very decent, and honestly, they have some cues of the new ABC O&O package; but for such a small market station (and even locally owned) it works. We might be seeing the other elements of the new package when they move offshore from their downtown building to Interstate 75, which might reflect the start of a new era for them after a period of heavy turmoil at the station, given the Hearst duopoly has unseated WINK during most timeslots (mainly due to the Waterman's strong investment in the stations during their final years on board, as well as the controversy over their initial handling of the rescue of Stormy, the kitten which was trapped outside their studio during the storm surge of Hurricane Ian, but which was later rescued safe and sound by a station producer).

I believe the weather particularly the 10 day isn’t an ABC exclusive. I think AccuWeather (who made weather software) is now developing it as a plugin for WSI.

I think the little W icon they sometimes use is an odd choice. Almost every station east of the Mississippi has a call sign beginning with W. Hardly a unique branding device.

Yeah its true. But they, so far, are the only ones to use it like this. Its actually a clean and very subtle look.

Supposedly it’s known in the area as that. Their mics flags (the UK kind - silk screened) all have the W.

NBC News Now has been simulcasting. To me it looks like they still have the interlace issue. But they animate the logo now.
