And today, KIRO, WHIO and WPXI have also switched, the latter now using Guardian (to align it with the rest of the Cox family) and Brian Lee as voiceover (after the retirement of Scott Chapin, which he announced last December; Lee had been working most promos from 11).

Scott Chapin was the voice of the Sunbeam Television stations (WSVN/WHDH) and he lent his voice to other stations during most of the 90s and 2000s. His gravely deep voice became very synonymous with the tabloid format the Sunbeam stations had successfully pioneered. Although he retired from full-time work in 2011, he continued working for the Sunbeam stations and many dedicated clients in a part-time basis.

Fortunately, WHDH has successfully hired a replacement... the equally well-known Jim Cutler.
