This rebrand is happening due to a major reorganization of Scripps' national divisions, which involved the merger of Ion Media into Katz Broadcasting, renamed as Scripps Networks; additionally, Newsy is being spun-off and will form the basis of a national news division which will integrate the company's Washington Bureau, Court TV, and their Local Media operations into a single roof, led by former ABC News and Al Jazeera America executive Kate O'Brian. Although a new logo using a new version of the Scripps lighthouse is being implemented, the existing graphics by Elevation will be retained (although accordingly modified to reflect the new look).

Kind of a shame about the purple going away, the look is nice so glad they aren't throwing it away after just over a year, but wish they had kept it purple.

Again ceding the space to other players who are clearly operating a similar offering at a profit.NBC News Now is really good, it's nice to have a basic news service from NBC News , since MSNBC is more talk and opinion.
Quote:NBC News Now, which launched in 2019, is starting to stand out in the streaming news wars. It was the first streaming news service to gain U.K. distribution in March, and according to Forbes, it is on track to make a profit this year.
NBC News Now’s average monthly viewership continues to rise, reaching 34 million hours in 2022, +55% from the previous year. It now has more than 10 hours of live programming, more than any other streaming news network.
CNN has not been run by the best people and have severely held it back and made bad decisions. They should have launched a online service right after CBS did. Instead, nope, and now NBC News, CBS News, ABC News, Scripps get to reap the rewards and CNN loses some great people like Robin Meade.
