Local / regional schedules confirmed for the West - including ex-Midlands late show host Caroline Martin, who gets a regional weekend breakfast show.

Radio Newcastle and Radio Tees begin simulcasting from Monday - not that much change in daytime beyond a shared Drivetime show.

Both stations also produce their own nightly sports show.

Not too bad an attempt at making the best of a bad job really. The networked shows seem to be very Leeds and Sheffield heavy, not much coming from Radio York.

Toby Foster has said on Twitter that Richard Stead (currently doing Radio Leeds afternoons) has got the Humberside/Lincolnshire afternoons gig. He covers Rugby Leage for Radio Humberside already so not a totally left field move.

Sheffield seems to be going down the Leeds route of putting on a young presenter on Breakfast on what is going to nowhere as newsy as it's been in the past.

Glad to hear Gayle Lofthouse is staying on Leeds mid-mornings.

York appears to be bearing the brunt of cuts among the three stations - Adam Tomlinson and Jonathan Cowap have gone among others (Cowap's now doing mid-mornings on Y01 in York and Selby - a community licence but arguably more akin to a small-scale commercial station in nature)

Pleased Toby is getting regional Drive, though.

In contrast, Radio Bristol's move to bring in an Broadchurch actor with zero radio presenting experience for breakfast has gone down like a lead balloon with the more reactionary critics (see Keri Jones, David Lloyd etc.)

The England-wide late show starts on Sunday

www.bbc.co.uk

Not sure what the different numbers of stations taking the programme on certain days is all about unless it's just a quirk of how it's scheduled when a station joins late due to football

Looking on the bbc sounds app and going through the stations for sunday night appears to be 3 stations not taking it

Berks
Kent
Oxford
