I was in Nottingham last weekend and listened BBC Radio Nottingham on Sunday.
The breakfast show had lots of local content about recent floods, interviews with local councillors etc. Then it switched to a mid-morning show where listeners were told they were listening to the "BBC across Leicester and Nottingham". It switched to largely generic subjects, last night's Strictly, the days when people used landlines.
Later in the afternoon, there was a networked show between Nottingham and Lincolnshire.
The execution of the whole initiative, from the sheer randomness of the networking and drawn out process, has been astonishingly bad.
By all means rethink how to do local radio, but this project seems like sabotage.
