The replacement station launched today, an alternative-leaning 90s music network, Channel X, an extension of AC network More FM; it launched in 16 Today frequencies not taken by other MW music brands. Poor excuse to replace a talk station with an automated offering designed basically for MediaWorks' streaming app, Rova.

In the midst of this (and back to the Today FM fiasco), MediaWorks has started to hire back some of the Today FM star signings for... podcast roles. The first one is Duncan Garner (who hosted Today FM's morning block), which now hosts a podcast very originally titled... Editor-in-Chief. Rumblings are also in that Leah & Mark, Lloyd Burr and Polly Gillespie will take these new roles.
