Currently under their respective charters, Das Erste (ARD's main station) and ZDF's main station are required to simulcast a joint broadcast, alternating between ARD and ZDF each week (currently this is the same for their morning show, 'Morganmagazin'). 'ARD Mittagsmagazin' is produced by RBB, based in Berlin, while 'ZDF Mittagsmagazin' is done in-house. Tagesschau24, ARD's rolling news channel, also carries both editions.
