Revisiting TVP, Teleexpress returned to TVP1 earlier this month, headed by longtime host Maciej Orłoś, who defected from the broadcaster in 2016 to WP and later radio stations. Like 19.30, they're coming from the former TVP Sport studio, which is possibly the reason why the set had a more sporty appearance. This Polish article (www.wirtualnemedia.pl ) has the details.

Płuska and Łuczyński are not the only outside hirings: the new TVP management is also hiring many highly-ranked and long-tenured reporters from both TVN and Polsat, including Tomasz Marcek (19.30's deputy editor), Juliusz Kaszyński, Joanna Dunikowska-Paź, Wioleta Wramba, Piotr Jędrzejek, Małgorzata Nowicka-Aftowicz, Bartek Cebeńko and Milena Bobrowska. Additionally, another of the anchors who resigned after the PiS takeover, Jarosław Kulczycki (last seen on Superstacja/Wydarzenia24) is returning to TVP, and will serve as editor of TVP2's news service. Kulczycki anchored Panorama from 2004 to 2006, and, after an interim period at Polsat, he returned to TVP in 2007 to anchor Wiadomości on TVP1, before becoming one of the main anchors at TVP Info.

A week after Teleexpress' return, Panorama also returned to TVP2 and TVP Info in a different timeslot, headed by Jędrzejek and Kulczycki. Unlike other TVP news programmes starting anew, the previous editorial team is partially staying.

10's revived obsession to news continues... An afternoon national bulletin at 3.30 is added next year, fronted by Narelda Jacobs, freshly out of the decade-old daytime show Studio 10 (to be axed in late December and may vacate spots for even more news).

10's afternoon news is set to debut on 29 January oddly with presenter TBD, despite Jacobs claimed to be doing so last year.
