WBD has rubberstamped Newshub's closure - not much different from what we already knew but the staff consultation ended yesterday. Its last day of operations will be July 5th.

WBD says it will keep Three on air and carry local output "in conjunction with funding partners" (i.e. NZ on Air) - but adds there's no deal "as of now" on news output. Across the business, 294 jobs will go.
Radio New Zealand is reporting that TVNZ has also confirmed the axing of its 'Sunday' current affairs programme.
Sky says it will consider its options over its 5.30pm News First programme, produced by Newshub.
