Here's an upload which has both the as broadcast episodes and the unedited studio tape:
we.tl
One interesting thing to note is the end credits montage on the broadcast episode doesn't have either the filmising or the unusual colour grading of the episode itself, though the raw studio tape does at least have the colour grading (not sure about the filmising, as I only have a 25p video file)- you can see them turn the colour grading on around the 25:40 mark! That suggests they must have made 2 different recordings of the studio session, one with the grading and one without.

Another look at the episode, and, like the end credit montage, Malcolm's opening link doesn't have the colour grading that's on the unedited studio tape either (once you find the exact take of the link that was used, he did so many! It's the one that begins at around the 32:40 mark on the video I uploaded). The colour grading kicks in as soon as it cuts to Shampoo though. Seems strange they'd splice in that link from a different source to the performance (and the link and performance are from the same take, it's not as if they edited in one of the other takes of the performance after the link)
Also noticed when doing this side by side comparison that the faux-letterbox bars are wider on the broadcast version than the studio tape:

And for the last time, just in case anyone still wants it, here's the episode BBC4 skipped tonight:

Can I be a horribly cheeky scamp and ask if you'd be able to upload the unedited tape again please? I find these fascinating to watch but I keep catching the links after they've expired. No worries if you can't

I can, I just need to get onto the computer that has the file on, then I'll upload it.

We've seen the end of the fast edited end credit montages now, from now on it's usually either a TOTP2 preview clip, or when a series of TOTP2 isn't running, back to a video playout. Until Ric Blaxill leaves anyway, then for the first few months it's a video playout, but still with the caption for TOTP2, then when Chris Cowey takes over the number 1 runs under the credits.
One thing I used to get fascinated by on the early TOTP2s is that when they ran the top 10 countdown from that week's TOTP, they had a number 1 animation, which was never used on the main show. Also that they used the new TOTP logo several months before it appeared on the main show.
