and this is the first RTL4 junction under the rebrand. Looks pretty nice, if not a bit plain: youtu.be
A side note - A bit unexpected they're keeping the RTL Z brand with the rebrand, given the alphabet has a, um... different meaning that they probably don't want to associate themselves with.
I don't get it, is it something to do with the Russians?
"Please stand by for further details, as we return you now to your regularly scheduled program. Hopefully."

Exactly. Probably could've rename it to RTL Nieuws, considering their financial news output (especially when their website is basically part of it)?

I don't think anyone is going to see RTL Z and think 'ooh, that channel is affiliated with Putin'. It's called RTL Z because it was originally set up in partnership with a Belgian business news channel called Kanaal Z. In the evenings it shows documentaries, so I suspect it's easier for them to stick with a more generic name.
I love the new VRT 1 idents. Very clever with the logo being formed by different objects (and it's all CGI, which will please some here). I think the promo graphics look dated, though, and the logo itself looks a bit too much like the ARD logo:
I suspect their other channels will rebrand with the VRT prefix in time.
Someone put this link on Logopedia's Canvas and Ketnet articles, saying they'd become VRT2 and VRT Kids. But when I go to the link and translate it to English, it says the two will keep their current names. Unless the article contradicts itself further down in the part only subscribers can read? www.tijd.be

The idea that Canvas and Ketnet are to be renamed comes from a newspaper 'discovering' that the domain names vrt2.be and vrtkids.be have been bought by the VRT:
Het Laatste Nieuws, translated with DeepL Wrote:VRT has also already registered the domain names VRT2.Be (to VRT10.be), as well as VRTkids.be and VRTsport.be. That does not mean, according to spokesman Bob Vermeir, that Canvas, Ketnet and Sporza will also be changing names soon. "We are doing that to secure our brand name," he says. But when it was discovered in January that VRT had registered the domain name VRT1.be, the same story sounded. There were also supposedly no plans at the time to change the name of Eén. "I can only repeat that Canvas, Sporza and Ketnet will continue to exist," says Bob Vermeir.
I suspect the names will eventually be changed, but not for some time. We'll probably only find out about it when it happens. (Though I do love a surprise rebrand - makes it much more exciting, I feel.)

Here's a preview of what it'd look like on their Instagram (but weirdly enough not anywhere else). Seems like it'd be toying with various materials on the 1 numeral, a drizzle of celebrity faces, and a giant VRT symbol front and centre.

and for the sake of completeness, here's the rest of the ensemble...
RTL5: youtu.be
RTL7: A different promo endboard and menu styles. youtu.be
RTL8: youtu.be
RTLZ: Interesting frame animation! Wonder if similar things can be used on their news. youtu.be
RTL Crime: The strip animation reminds me of the BBC's... youtu.be
RTL Lounge: youtu.be
RTL Telekids: Not sure if the reduction of the colours in their symbol is a good thing. youtu.be

The move symbolized a shift in their programming to pure movies, so previous AXN White series are moving to their streaming service: www.elespoiler.com

But the font pack is locked to the workplace computers and you need to contact them to get it externally...
Well, using Developer Tools in the browser, you can get the regular, medium and bold versions of what appear to be the TV 2 font, but whether that is their old or new font I'm not sure. Another section has the thin version, so that's a total of 4.

Another look at VRT 1's new look.
There's a clip of Wim de Wilder during the news where he talks about the new name and look, and somewhat tells us that Canvas and Ketnet will become VRT 2 and VRT 3, even though that article said Ketnet will become VRT Kids. www.youtube.com
