I'm sure many of them were already operating their own broadcasting services for linguistic/cultural reasons long beforehand.
Yugoslavia was rather different, but again, they actually had many internal cultural differences so I'm sure already had some regional services within the federation.
Czechoslovakia was the 'cuddly version' of breaking up a country. They gave each other a big hug and waved goodbye. They refer to it as the 'velvet divorce'. They had a broadcast service ČST from 1953, which then simply split in two and renamed themselves as Česká Televize and Slovenská Televízia.
