Some major technical gremlins at GB News today, not seen anything this bad since the launch weeks. Several 30s+ drop outs to a silent black screen this morning, not on scene/content changes but during the main studio presentation as far as I could tell.
Then another drop just before 3pm, but instead of a black screen it turned into a world of static scan lines with artifacts and fuzzing and stayed that way for a good few minutes, unlike anything I've ever seen as humble TV viewer. Patrick Christy's voice could be heard in the background, but it was jittery and illegible. I thought my signal was busted for a moment but again, ticker all clear and rolling. Then a long ad break and a late news bulletin before back to Patrick and normal viewing (so far). I wondered if that big hit was them swapping in some sort of backup to fix the earlier problems but the backup had a mismatched interface config.
I have to go out now so sadly I can't comment on whether they're fixed or not, but if anyone else notices weirdness (no, not the content, lol) this afternoon or evening perhaps they could share.
