GB News

I think giving the slot to Nana Akua might work. I know she presented the weekend version of the show initially and I’m not sure it went that well. But I’d argue she’s probably grown into the role now and it feels like she’s one of the stars of the channel. I think Patrick Christys is most likely though although that leaves a gap in the afternoon.

On my Freesat EPG, the 9pm slot for Monday 13th November 2023 on YouTube simply says GBN Tonight, no mention of DW on it
I believe officially at least he remains suspended. I suspect off-topic matters which bylinetimes.com have previously reported on may explain his social media silence. Depending on how long his current contract is for they may have decided it's more convenient to pay him until it ends than sack him or have him return to air.

Going back to the Crick incident, having watched it I sense it was a rather naïve booking by someone. They maybe knew he'd left Channel 4 because he felt they had left-wing bias, forgot about his reputation, and didn't think he might be as critical on-air of GB News as he was. I'd agree that it feels like someone in the gallery or management panicked, as it wasn't as if he was swearing or saying something libel, though was probably highly unconformable to some. I have to respect Neil Oliver for what he said after the ad-break (even if I disagree with many of his opinions), as he was presumably openly disagreeing with the gallery/management's decision.

Have they found a replacement for Wootton or is he coming back?
There's more chance of Jesus coming back than Wootton!

The 9pm slot I feel would suit Patrick Christys especially since on their competitor TalkTV they have opted to put Mike Graham in their 9pm slot, I think Patrick is far better than Mike when hosting a prime time show.

Emily Carver and Patrick Chrystys are back from their holiday. Emily did the 12-3pm slot with Pip Tomson, but Martin Daubney is doing Patrick's 3-6pm show. Assume therefore that Chystys will be doing Wootton's 9-11pm programme Monday -Thursday.

Tom Harwood and Emily Carver are to present a new daily show at 12pm from Monday called Good Afternoon Britain.

Hmm Esther McVey is joining the cabinet, I wonder if that effects her GB News role?

All the behind the scenes drama with GB News/Talk TV/BBC News etc is better than the Australian dramatised version on BBC2.

Maybe that is The Newsreader has not connected as well in the UK as it has in Australia (hence the move to a different slot). Why watch make believe behind the scenes drama when you can see it in reality?

It should do considering her role is specifically to make TV appearances on behalf of the government.
