Britain's News Channel is a marketing slogan, not a Ofcom licence category. I'm sure you don't always feel good listening to Heart, Maybe there's not more of the songs you love on Magic. Slogans, nothing more.
On screen graphics don't necessarily form part of regulated news content so no issues necessarily with that.
Ofcom rules have been the same ish for nearly a quater century, so when ITV did premium rate contests within its PSB Regulated regional news content, it was under the same regime as GB News now.
As I've said many times, in Ofcom terms, the GB News content is very similar to GMB on ITV, with multiple content categories flowing within one programme, with 'separation' achieved by use of bumpers, different presenters, script signals.
I keep saying this, but there is no such thing as an Ofcom licensed news channel in the Uk. Even Sky News is a general entertainment service that chooses to run regulated news content to a high proportion that'll GBN, but rarely is Sky News entirely an hour of regulated news - that's why it can have sport, weather and business news sponsors - despite sponsorship of News programming being prohibited.
GBNEWS Want premium rate revenue? Nothing legally to stop them, however premium rate regulation for all TV and Radio is very tough these days so I hope their compliance officer is up to speed on it.
